Hazards to people and environment
- Highly flammable liquid and vapour.
- Causes skin irritation.
- Causes serious eye irritation.
- May cause drowsiness or dizziness.
- Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Protective measures and behaviour rules
- Keep away from heat, sparks, flames and hot surfaces. No smoking.
- Use only with good ventilation; do not breathe vapours or spray mist.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
- Keep container tightly closed and store cool and upright.
- Use explosion-protected equipment and prevent static discharge.
- Wear safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves and protective clothing.
- Use respiratory protection with organic vapour filter if ventilation is insufficient.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling. Wash hands after work.
- Do not allow product to enter drains or the environment.
Emergency response
- In case of fire: use suitable extinguishing media according to site procedures.
- Collect spilled material immediately.
- Remove affected persons from the danger area.
- Move exposed persons to fresh air.
- Call a doctor if symptoms are severe or persist.
- Show the safety data sheet to the attending physician.
First aid
- After inhalation: move to fresh air; get medical advice after heavy exposure.
- After skin contact: remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with soap and water.
- After eye contact: rinse cautiously with plenty of water, remove contact lenses if possible, continue rinsing.
- After swallowing: rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting unless told by a doctor.
- Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
- Possible symptoms: tearing, red skin, dermatitis, irritation, dizziness, drowsiness or balance problems.
Proper disposal
- Avoid or minimise waste where possible.
- Dispose of product, residues and contaminated packaging as hazardous waste.
- Use an approved waste disposal company.
- Empty containers may contain hazardous residues.
- Prevent release to soil, drains and waterways.
- Follow local legal disposal requirements.
