Hazards to people and environment

  • Highly flammable liquid and vapour.
  • May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
  • Causes skin irritation.
  • May cause an allergic skin reaction.
  • Causes serious eye damage.
  • May cause drowsiness or dizziness.
  • Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Protective measures and behaviour rules

  • Keep away from heat, sparks, flames and hot surfaces. No smoking.
  • Use explosion-protected equipment and prevent static discharge.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
  • Wear safety goggles, chemical-resistant gloves and protective clothing.
  • Use only with good ventilation or local exhaust.
  • Wear respiratory protection if ventilation is insufficient.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
  • Store tightly closed, upright and in a cool place.
  • Prevent release to drains and the environment.

Emergency response

  • In case of fire: use suitable extinguishing media according to site fire plan.
  • Collect spillage immediately to prevent environmental release.
  • Remove affected persons from the danger area.
  • Move exposed person to fresh air.
  • Seek medical attention after serious exposure or if symptoms occur.

First aid

  • After inhalation: move to fresh air; get medical advice after heavy exposure.
  • After skin contact: remove contaminated clothing and wash with soap and plenty of water.
  • After eye contact: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if possible, continue rinsing and call a doctor immediately.
  • After swallowing: rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting, call a doctor immediately.
  • Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Proper disposal

  • Dispose of product waste through an approved hazardous waste contractor.
  • Do not allow product or washings to enter soil, drains or watercourses.
  • Empty containers may contain hazardous residues.
  • Dispose of contaminated packaging as hazardous waste according to local regulations.
