Hazards to people and environment
- Highly flammable liquid and vapour.
- May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways.
- Causes skin irritation.
- May cause an allergic skin reaction.
- Causes serious eye damage.
- May cause drowsiness or dizziness.
- Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Protective measures and behaviour rules
- Keep away from heat, sparks, flames and hot surfaces. No smoking.
- Use explosion-protected equipment and prevent static discharge.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
- Wear safety goggles, chemical-resistant gloves and protective clothing.
- Use only with good ventilation or local exhaust.
- Wear respiratory protection if ventilation is insufficient.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.
- Store tightly closed, upright and in a cool place.
- Prevent release to drains and the environment.
Emergency response
- In case of fire: use suitable extinguishing media according to site fire plan.
- Collect spillage immediately to prevent environmental release.
- Remove affected persons from the danger area.
- Move exposed person to fresh air.
- Seek medical attention after serious exposure or if symptoms occur.
First aid
- After inhalation: move to fresh air; get medical advice after heavy exposure.
- After skin contact: remove contaminated clothing and wash with soap and plenty of water.
- After eye contact: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if possible, continue rinsing and call a doctor immediately.
- After swallowing: rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting, call a doctor immediately.
- Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Proper disposal
- Dispose of product waste through an approved hazardous waste contractor.
- Do not allow product or washings to enter soil, drains or watercourses.
- Empty containers may contain hazardous residues.
- Dispose of contaminated packaging as hazardous waste according to local regulations.
