Hazards to people and environment

  • Explosive material; risk of detonation.
  • May damage the unborn child and may impair fertility.
  • May cause organ damage through prolonged or repeated exposure.
  • Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
  • Explosion may cause burns, trauma and flying fragments.
  • Detonation fumes may irritate airways and cause headache.

Protective measures and behaviour rules

  • Handle with extreme care.
  • Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces.
  • Protect from electrostatic discharge.
  • No smoking.
  • Use only as instructed and by trained personnel.
  • Avoid breathing detonation fumes.
  • Wear anti-static work clothing, preferably cotton.
  • Use safety glasses if needed.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke during use.
  • Store dry, well ventilated and tightly closed at -30 °C to +40 °C.
  • Keep away from food, drink, feed and medicines.

Emergency response

  • If fire occurs: evacuate the area immediately.
  • Do not fight fire when explosion risk exists.
  • In case of suspected explosion, call emergency services and keep clear.
  • After an incident, ventilate the area and avoid inhaling fumes.
  • Only authorized qualified personnel may render safe damaged products.

First aid

  • After inhalation: move person to fresh air and keep at rest.
  • If breathing irritation or shortness of breath continues, get medical attention.
  • After explosion injuries, burns or fragment wounds: get medical help immediately.
  • If eyes are affected after an explosion, seek medical attention immediately.
  • If swallowed: rinse mouth and get medical attention.
  • If exposure is suspected or health effects occur: seek medical advice.

Proper disposal

  • Dispose of waste according to applicable regulations.
  • Defective or damaged products must be disposed of as instructed by the manufacturer or local rules.
  • Only authorized qualified personnel may neutralize or render safe the product.
  • Recycle empty packaging through the responsible disposal route.
  • Dispose of contaminated packaging according to regulations.
  • Do not release into the environment.
