Hazards to people and environment
- Causes skin irritation.
- Causes serious eye damage.
- May cause an allergic skin reaction.
- May cause respiratory irritation from dust.
- Wet mortar can damage skin after prolonged contact.
Protective measures and behaviour rules
- Avoid breathing dust.
- Ensure good ventilation or local exhaust.
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
- Wear protective gloves, tight safety goggles and protective clothing.
- Use FFP2 dust mask if dust is generated.
- Wash hands before breaks and after work.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling.
- Store cool, dry and tightly closed in the original container.
- Keep away from children, food and feed.
- Protect from moisture and do not use after the stated storage period.
Emergency response
- Move affected person to fresh air if dust is inhaled.
- Remove contaminated clothing immediately.
- Rinse skin with plenty of water and soap.
- Rinse eyes immediately with water for at least 20 minutes; remove contact lenses if possible.
- Do not rub the eyes.
- Seek immediate medical advice for eye contact or persistent symptoms.
- If swallowed, rinse mouth, drink water and do not induce vomiting.
- Show the safety data sheet to the doctor if possible.
First aid
- Inhalation: fresh air, medical advice if cough or irritation continues.
- Skin: wash with water and soap; get medical advice if irritation persists.
- Eyes: rinse continuously for at least 20 minutes and consult an eye specialist immediately.
- Ingestion: rinse mouth, give water, contact a doctor or poison centre.
- Wash contaminated clothing before reuse and clean shoes before reuse.
Proper disposal
- Do not dispose of with household waste.
- Do not allow product to enter drains, soil or water.
- Collect dry material in labelled containers.
- If possible, reuse within the allowed storage time.
- Let wet residues or slurry harden before disposal.
- Dispose of product and contaminated packaging according to local regulations.
- Only send completely emptied packaging for recycling.
